    Round 2, 2017 Interclub XC series>

    Location: CARDWELL, QLD, AUSTRALIA

    The Cassowary Coast Mutisport Club will be holding a Cross Country Event on Sunday morning March 26th at 0900hrs in the Cardwell Forest.

    Directions – Heading south turn right onto Gregory St before you hit the 80k zone into Cardwell. Cross the railway line and travel about 1.5km crossing 2 dips and turn right onto dirt. Parking signs further along on the right. If you have marquees etc to deliver to the start/finish the road up will be closed from 8:30am and not open again until ALL riders are in.

    This event will form part of an overall cross country series comprising 4 events as proposed by Cairns Mountain Bike Club

    A  multilap event (determined by your category) will be conducted using forest tracks and firebreaks. Cost is $35 and $25 for juniors.

    U15s will do 2 laps (13km) and U17 & U19 will do 3 laps (20km).

    There will be male & female categories in Elete, Expert, U19, U17, U15, Vets, Masters, Super Masters, Grand Masters and Sport.

    First rider across the finish line in respective categories to complete nominated laps wins the day.

    We now live in the 21st century. Riders who wish to go hard with split times / Lap times etc can do so with their own equipment.  Winners who take first points, will take those with them to the next round .

    Enter and win three or more rounds on points and you take out the series. Simple.

    Should the weather turn bad and the event be deemed unsafe due to flooding or lightning it may be rescheduled.

    The CCMC have the relevant permits from HQP.
