Trail Condition &Maintenance Update:

  • A recent “Adopt a Trail” initiative has seen an awesome turnout to our trail care training day with Ryan from Contour Works donating his own time to lead the crew.
The day was a huge success, providing valuable insights from professional trail builders on trail maintenance, drainage, trail surface and vegetation management considerations, especially through our Wet and Dry seasonal changes.
  • IF YOU MISSED IT – get to our working bee is scheduled for this weekend on Crocs Teeth and Croc Slide berms & Centipede rake will have it running sweet again.
  • Thanks again to our Parks rangers helping to remove some hazardous fallen vegetation too this week.
  • Pipeline trail remains closed for further inspection and debris removal.
  • The Smithfield Mountain Bike Park is currently only open conditionally – as tracks have all changed due to weather conditions.  Ride with caution, keep alert to changes and trees that may have fallen.  Trail surface may have washouts or muddy patches at this time of year.  If you’re leaving ruts it’s too wet to ride.
Our best picks – Wobbegong, Mp39, Bowhunters and Red Belly this week – just be careful on the red clay if it gets wet – it’s slick.
